Lindner weist alle Vorwürfe zurück

BERLIN (dpa/mue) - Bundesfinanzminister Christian Lindner (FDP) hat Vorwürfe im Zusammenhang mit einem Kredit für seinen privaten Hauskauf zurückgewiesen.

Der «Tagesspiegel» berichtete, der Minister habe eine Video-Rede für die Bank gehalten, die seinen Hauskauf finanziere. Nun prüfe die Staatsanwaltschaft die Aufhebung von Lindners Abgeordneten-Immunität, so die Zeitung. Lindners Anwalt Christian Schertz teilte mit: «Seine private Immobilienfinanzierung hat Herr Lindner lange vor der Übernahme seines Ministeramtes begonnen. Alle Konditionen waren stets marktüblich. Die Gewährung eines kurzen Grußworts zu Jubiläen wie dem hundertjährigen Bestehen einer Bank gehört zur regulären Amtsführung eines Ministers.»

Der «Tagesspiegel» berichtete, Lindner habe das Grußwort für eine Karlsruher Privatkundenbank im Mai 2022 gehalten und «offenbar verschwiegen», dass er bei dem Institut einen Kredit aufgenommen habe. Weil er sich nach dem Grußwort bei derselben Bank einen weiteren Kredit habe geben lassen, drohe ihm jetzt ein Strafverfahren wegen Vorteilsannahme. Die Korruptionsabteilung der Berliner Generalstaatsanwaltschaft prüfe derzeit die Aufhebung von Lindners Immunität als Abgeordneter, um förmlich ermitteln zu können. Ein Sprecher der Generalstaatsanwaltschaft sagte laut Zeitung, dies sei «in solchen Fällen üblich und ohne dass damit schon eine Aussage über das Vorliegen eines Anfangsverdachts getroffen wird». Im vergangenen Herbst hatte bereits der «Spiegel» über Vorwürfe im Zusammenhang mit Lindners Immobilienfinanzierung berichtet.

Schertz erklärte, zwischen den beiden Vorgängen - dem Grußwort und der privaten Immobilienfinanzierung - bestehe kein Zusammenhang. Lindner sehe «die heutige Berichterstattung mit Gelassenheit».
